Our First Turkish Trade Show
2019 is off to a busy start for our EMEA division, who are heading to Antalya Expo Centre in Turkey next week to launch our award-winning washing machine. The team will be joining our Turkish Affinity Partner, KRM Tekstil Boya, to exhibit at the 30th Anfas Hotel Equipment Show.
We chose to exhibit at this exciting 4-day event – which runs from 16th January to 19th January 2019 – as it will see up to 50,000 visitors from all over the world, and more than 500 exhibitors will pass through its doors.
“We’re very excited to be launching our product in Turkey and look forward to revealing how our machine can benefit hotels in this region,” Sales and Channel Director EMEA, Jamie Harrison said. “We will showcase our unique and industry-changing solutions, that deliver water savings unrivalled in the commercial laundry market. I know that our partner in this region - KRM Teks - will help us to deliver outstanding service to customers.”
You will find our ultra-low water washing machine – which uses up to 80% less water than conventional machines - in action at KRM’s stand, number 2G5 in Hall 2. We’re exhibiting our 20kg capacity machine but both this machine and the larger 36kg capacity version, are available to buy in Turkey.
Why Hydrofinity is Entering Turkey…
Turkey is the 10th most popular tourist destination in the world, attracting more than 38.6 million tourists in 2017. The Hydrofinity System became available in Turkey in 2018 due to its many hotels and semi-arid climate.
Turkey has only one fifth of the water available per capita in water rich regions such as Western Europe. Because water is a limited resource, the cost - especially in Istanbul - is expensive, and increasing year-on-year.
Tolga Güvenir, Board Member at KRM Teks, explains why a low water washing machine is needed in Turkey.
‘’70% of the earth’s surface is covered with water but only 3% of the world’s water reserves are fresh. Over 1 billion people cannot access clean drinking water. Turkey is a country suffering from water stress - a condition where the annual drinking water falls below 1.700 m3 per person. The parameters indicate that the amount of water per capita - which is 1.520 m3 today - will be reduced to 1.100 m3 with a population of 100 million in 2030. We at KRM Tekstil Boya aim to save our natural resources and cut the expenses of the industrial laundry sector by launching Hydrofinity washing machines in Turkey. These machines use up to 80% less water, up to 50% less energy and fewer chemicals than conventional machines. ‘’
